Hall Sport

If you live in University accommodation you will be sure to find something to try with a timetable of more than 40 hours of free sports and activities.

Athletic Union

Whether you are a beginner or at scholarship level you are sure to find a sport in the Athletic Union, with over 87 teams and 36 sports.

 

Going Solo

Sugden Sports Centre

The Sugden Sports Centre is located just off Oxford Road and is a great place to exercise between and after lectures. Make use of the sports hall, fitness suite and workout classes.

 

Manchester Aquatics Centre

Built for the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games in the heart of the University campus the facility has two indoor 50 metre swimming pools, a dive pool, a newly renovated fitness suite complete with classes and personal training.

 

Armitage Sports Centre

The Armitage Sports Centre is based in Fallowfield and is home to many of the Athletic Union clubs and teams from the community and is the main sports facility of the University. Among the outdoor artificial and grass pitches and an indoor fitness suite, you can enjoy a range of memberships and individual and block fitness classes.

 

Wythenshawe Sports Ground

Located just 6miles from the city campus in Manchester, at Wythenshawe Sports Ground are 26 full-size outdoor football pitches and a rugby pitch. The well-maintained pitches are accessed by the number 41 bus route or make use of the free parking on site. Please note that availability varies and booking is required due to regular seasonal use.
