The Students' Union

The University of Manchester Students’ Union is the largest in the country and has over 400 student societies

Located in the heart of the University it is home to the Union BarThe Store and famous Manchester venues including Academy 1, 2, 3 and Club Academy

These provide over 40,000 students with lots of opportunities to try new things and meet other students who share similar interests.

You can also be involved in the running of a society and even set up a new one!

The Mancunion 

The Mancunion is the country’s largest student newspaper and has a 20,000 strong readership. There is something for everyone with fifteen sections from music to fashion and beauty. As a student of the University you can contribute, regardless of how much experience in journalism you have! 

Volunteering  

There are many opportunities to volunteer in Manchester, many of which are organised through the Students’ Union, including Student Action, Manchester RAG and Access All Areas.
