Art

Manchester Art Gallery is conveniently located 20 minutes away from the University, and offers a variety of exhibitions and regular events. Castlefield Gallery and Kraak Gallery are less obvious but equally interesting options that both support contemporary artists.

Museums

Manchester has a rich heritage, and there are lots of museums in the city that celebrate this, as well as exploring national and worldwide aspects of history. Find out more about the rise of industrialisation at the Museum of Science and Industry, or walk along the hall of fame at the National Football Museum.

Theatre

From musicals, opera, comedy and talks, Manchester’s theatres aren’t short of creative productions. Just up the road from the University is the Palace Theatre, or head to HOME for unique plays and workshops.
