Manchester Arndale is a large shopping centre in which you can find almost everything, from clothes, to toiletries, to food and homeware. They also often host student nights with exclusive student offers in many of their shops, so keep an eye out for these.
The Trafford Centre is slightly more out of the way than the other items on this list, but it’s definitely worth a mention, on account of its impressive size and wide range of shops. Simply take the 250 from Booth Street East, just past the University.
From vintage clothes shops to flowers and records, the Northern Quarter is there if you ever need something unique.
The long road of Deansgate, at over a mile long, is home to a variety of shops that are dotted along in between its many restaurants and bars. The shops here are usually slightly more expensive than those in other areas of the city, but there are a lot of sportswear and camping shops, if you wanted to head to the nearby Peak District during the summer.
